Narrative Writing: A Journal Entry
Imagine that you are Meriwether Lewis, William Clark, or Sacagawea. Choose an event based on an actual experience from their journey exploring the newly obtained western territories of the United States during the early 1800s.
As you are writing this narrative event, think about the point of view of the person you have chosen. Your journal entry should focus on a single event. Also, be very descriptive, as this entry will be shared with President Jefferson as an example of your observations throughout your travels reporting information about these new territories.
